The project's background is shaped by the author's key experiences between 2023 and 2024: 1) actively engaging with Taiwan's #MeToo movement, 2) navigating the aftermath of surviving an abusive relationship, and 3) managing the challenges of a diagnosed chronic illness. These transformative events inspired the creation of the BOTAMEVE curriculum and glossary, fostering reflections on truth, resilience, and healing. Their journey has also been enriched by a wide range of books, YouTube content, and podcasts on topics such as narcissistic relationships, manipulation tactics, codependency, and PTSD.
